Specializing in treatment for trauma and PTSD through EMDR and Parts work

Do you notice irritability, anger and nightmares taking control of your mood, relationships and passions? Do you feel overwhelm and struggle to move past your past? Is PTSD or anxiety creating exhaustion? If yes, it is my passion to work alongside you towards the peace that you deserve. I will help you navigate the complex past and lived memories with the goal of remembering these past scenes but in a way that they will no longer impact you. I know it can be scary to share your story. Together, we can build trust, the capacity for vulnerability in our therapeutic relationship and build space for self-compassion.

I specialize in EMDR, somatic body work and cognitive restructuring. It is my priority to create a safe environment, free of any judgement, where all parts are welcome. Clients often tell me they appreciate my easy going nature, friendly challenges and validation that they receive from our sessions.

I am passionate about supporting you and providing you will tools and skills for Post Traumatic Growth. I know how hard it can be to find the right fit with a therapist, I have been there!  I know taking the step to reach out is challenging, so I am glad you are here. Being heard and seen sounds easy, but is often missed and it is my goal to ensure you felt seen in each and every session.  I hope you connect with a therapist that is the right fit, and maybe that might be me.

EMDR

EMDR

EMDR involves several stages using bilateral stimulation that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories, which can reduce its emotional impact and lead to new, more positive beliefs about the event. EMDR is a structured, 8 phase approach that begins with stabilization and coping strategies prior to moving onto reprocessing past trauma. EMDR is a evidence based treatment that is internationally recognized for treating symptoms of trauma, including PTSD. Research suggests that EMDR can sometimes help people heal faster than traditional therapies, such as talk therapy.

Should my therapist be in therapy?

  •  12/02/2025 05:27 PM

Many may wonder whether a therapist should participate in therapy themselves. The answer is a resounding yes. Therapists encounter diverse and intense narratives from their clients, and having a professional space to process these experiences is invaluable. Therapy enables therapists to address their own feelings and reactions, fostering a greater capacity for empathy and understanding. Ultimately, their own therapeutic journey not only aids in their personal development but also enhances the quality of the care they provide to their clients.
